Rapper T.I. and his wife Tameka Cottle were arrested yesterday for possession of marijuana. The sad part is, T.I. just recently got out of prison for gun possession charges, and is still on probation. Because of this violation, he may be in for a much more serious punishment than a first time offender. They were driving down Sunset Boulevard when they were pulled over by cops, on suspicion of drugs. After a search of the vehicle, the drugs were indeed found. They were released from custody today, with the bail set at $10,000. The couple have two children together.

Later this year Nicole Richie will marry Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden. However the wedding plans are being kept a secret from everyone, including Nicole Richie’s father, Lionel Richie.

Lionel Richie is also very famous and Nicole Richie believes that her father is incapable of keeping a secret. He admitted this inability himself to Britain’s The Sun. Lionel Richie said, , “I honestly don’t know (when the wedding will be). They won’t tell me because they know I will tell everyone. I can’t keep a secret.”

Despite his lack of knowledge concerning the wedding details, he has made his daughter promise that she will not make him do anything cheesy, including singing at the ceremony.

About two weeks ago my little brother sent me a link on Facebook with a video about an attempted rape in Huntsville, Alabama with a flambouant character known as Antione Dodson.  The video was pretty funny, and I thought that my brother sent it to me because it happened in my home town only about 15 minutes from where I live, I recognized the reporter and anchor from the news station we watched in my home growing up.

The next day I was surprised when a friend of mine asked me if I had seen the Antoine Dodson video, I didn’t remember the name and said embarrasedly that I didnt know who he was (I figured he was some cool artist I was not cool enough to know about).  He then pulled up the video on his Iphone of my home town rape in the projects crusader.

The following day I was at a birthday party with some music in the background and I heard a techno/hip hop song with some familiar lyrics “hes climbing in yo windows and snatching up your people, hide your kids, hide your wives and hide your husbands cuz they raping everyone out here.”

This video has easily become the most viewed video online over the past couple weeks and I have heard references to it everywhere from playing charades to church and from church to meetings at work.  I’m excited that my town has made it onto the map but I would have preferred something a little different than this scandalous celebrity.  Beggars aren’t choosers I suppose.
