Mel Gibson has certainly be no stranger to drama over the past couple of years. With multiple arrests, racists slurs, violent threats, a nasty custody battle, and more, Gibson and his temper can’t seem to escape the spotlight. However, the actor has maintained a level of silence about the issues, refusing to do any interview regarding his ongoing drama.
However, all of that changed yesterday when Gibson finally gave an interview regarding the disaster that seems to be reputation, and life of late. In regards to his labels of being a sexist, racist, and bigot, he candidly said “I’ve never treated anyone badly or in a discriminatory way based on their gender, race, religion or sexuality — period. I don’t blame some people for thinking that though, from the garbage they heard on those leaked tapes, which have been edited.”
In regards to the leaked tapes of threatening, angry, violent message to his ex, he stated “Who anticipates being recorded? Who anticipates that? Who could anticipate such a personal betrayal?” He went on to defend himself, maintaining his innocence. It seems the actor isn’t quite ready to face the truth just yet.
Gibson stated at the end of the interview “I don’t care if I don’t act anymore.” Well, Mel, it doesn’t seem like anyone else really cares, either.
